In the 1600's Gadai Giri settled in the Jagatsinghpur District of Oriss (not far off from Bhaktivinoda Thakura's Choti) and the place became known as Gadeigiri. His son, Gopal Giri, and later established the worship of Gopal in Gadeigiri. This Gopal Deity and His property after many generations came to Gour Govinda Swami. This book tells the story.
