A beautiful opportunity to witness the 25th installation anniversary of Sri Sri Radha Nila-Madhava of ISKCON Houston, celebrated on Janmasthami day 2011. This was a very special event, since usually Deities this size do not get bathed directly, except at the installation.
The disc begins with a close-up view of the ISKCON Houston deities wearing Their intricate dress, entirely made of flowers.
Thereafter follows the bathing ceremony or abhishek of the deities, using all kinds of auspicious substances like fruit juices, ghee, yogurt, milk, honey and rose water. It was a very ecstatic event as you can see and hear for yourself.
Following the abhishek are the midnight arati and festival on the night of Janmastami featuring the sounds of the Jiva Jago kirtan group.
The final track includes a bonus kirtan of H.H. Radhanath Swami's visit to Houston.
