The heads and the straps are made from ahimsa leather, through a traditional method.

The classic style and make of this mridanga produces a pleasant high pitched sound like a bell on the small end and a deep bass sound on the other.

This largest size mridanga has a very deep and mellow bass sound.

Because they are all hand made the size various slighly for each mridanga and they are all between 23 and 24 inches.
